Antivirus Alerts

Antivirus Alerts are generated when On-access scanning has been selected under Setting Antivirus Protection. An Antivirus Alert indicates that a virus has been detected by the Antivirus scanner. Antivirus Alerts offer you various options for dealing with an infected file.

Whenever the On-access scanner detects a virus, the following events take place:
  1. An Antivirus Alert Pop-Up is generated informing the user that a virus has been found. An example of an Antivirus Alert Pop-Up is shown below. The Antivirus Alert Pop-Up is displayed in the bottom-right corner of your screen, just above the System Tray.

The Antivirus Alert Pop-Up will stay on the screen for 5 seconds.

  1. If you don't respond to the Antivirus Alert Pop-Up within 5 seconds, it will disappear from your screen and the Pioneer Complete System Tray Icon changes to the alert state, indicating that a Stored Antivirus Alert is present: . On the Pioneer Complete Console the Antivirus button background starts to flash in Red, again indicating that a Stored Antivirus Alert is present, as is shown below:

The System Tray Icon will stay in its alert state and the Antivirus button background continues to flash in Red until you have acknowledged all pending alerts by either viewing them or by choosing an alert action.

Accessing Antivirus Alerts Through the Antivirus Alert Pop-Up

When an Antivirus Alert Pop-Up is generated you can use it to view the Antivirus Alert from which you can decide on what should do with the infected file.

To access an Antivirus Alert through the Antivirus Alert Pop-Up:
  1. Click on the text in the Antivirus Alert Pop-Up within 5 seconds of the pop-up appearing on the screen.

  2. The Antivirus Alert is displayed and the Antivirus Alert Pop-Up disappears from the screen.

Note: If you configured Pioneer Completefor multiple users or if you have required a password for changing Pioneer Complete settings, you might have to log in as a Privileged User or provide your Authentium Primary User name and Password in order to be able to access Antivirus Alerts.

  1. View the alert and choose an action from the Alert Actions panel.
