Pioneer Complete allows you to scan your computer for any viruses at any time you want. Even if you use the first-class On-access scanning provided by Pioneer Complete you might still occasionally want to scan (parts of) your computer for viruses.
It is a good idea to scan your computer for virus immediately after first installing Pioneer Complete to ensure your computer did not get infected before you were protected by Pioneer Complete.
Whenever you get removable media from for instance a friend or neighbor, it is a good idea to scan it before using it.
Note: If you configured Pioneer Complete for multiple users or if you have required a password for changing Pioneer Complete settings, you might have to log in as a Privileged User or provide your E-mail address and password in order to be able to Check for Viruses.
On the Pioneer Complete
Console, click the Antivirus
button
.
On the Antivirus menu, click Virus Check.

In the Pioneer Complete Security Check window, click the Settings button.
In the Select Folders window, select the folders you want to include in the On-demand scan. You can use the '+' and '-' symbols in front of a folder to expand or collapse the view of a folder, allowing you to select individual sub-folders.
Click OK in the Select Folders window after making your selection.
Click Scan in the Pioneer Complete Security Check window to start the On-demand scan.
In the Progress frame at the bottom of the Pioneer Complete Security Check window you can find the following information while the scan is in progress:
Current File – The name and path of the file currently being scanned.
Elapsed Time – The time that elapsed since the start of the scan.
Infected Files – The number of files that are infected by a virus.

If infections were found, the main grid displays the following information for each infected file:
Infected File – The name of the infected file.
Location – The path of the infected file.
Date/Time Found – The date and time at which the virus was found.
Description – A short description of the virus that was found.
Select the file in the grid that you want to Repair, Quarantine, Ignore or Delete. You can use the options provided in the Manage Selected Infected Files to facilitate making a selection:
Select All – Selects all files displayed in the grid.
Unselect All – Unselects all files displayed in the grid.
Invert Selection – Inverts your current selection. Previously selected files will become unselected and unselected files will become selected when using this button.
Choose the desired action for your current selection from the options provided in the Manage Selected Infected Files frame:
Repair – An attempt is made to remove the virus from the file.
Quarantine – The infected file is moved to a special folder and stored there in such a way that it can not be executed.
Ignore – The files are ignored, and no attempt is made at disinfecting them. The files will not show up in scan results from now on.
Delete – The selected files are deleted. No attempt is made at disinfecting them.
Close the Pioneer Complete Security Check window when you are done managing your infected files.
You can view issues from previous On-demand scans if you marked previously found infections as Ignored or Quarantined. This allows you to Repair or Delete infected files at a later time.
